SCENARIOT - Media Release
May 5th, 2019
Worlds Within Worlds is the follow up to the band's 2017 debut album Scenariot
The new album establishes the band's intent to challenge the alt prog rock genre and develop their songwriting and musical creativity. The band continues to evolve and the new album is a testament to the band's originality and versatility.
The release explores the chaos and darkness lurking beneath the surface of the superficial world. This theme is represented in the cover art which symbolises a world on fire held in the hand of an external being in a surrealistic environment surrounded by computer code.
Songwriter Michael Totta explains "the main theme reflects the unknown and fragile world often hidden behind smoke and mirrors. The music and lyrics were inspired by a blend of personal life experiences and how the world has changed over the last few years. The theme uses a fusion of different ideas to tell it's story, including alienation, trust, improbable hope and an evil and destructive computer code."
Michael Totta (guitars/keyboards), Dan Swan (Vocals) and JP Glovasa (bass) are joined by drummer Greg Stone who adds a new dynamic and feel to the band.
The album was engineered, mixed and mastered by vocalist Dan Swan at Capel Sound Studios in Melbourne and produced by Scenariot.
